The section of the Martin Goodman Trail from the end of Queens Quay West to Coronation Park was opened again Friday afternoon. The lines still have to be painted on the new pavement so there could be some more disruption to access the trail.

The DETOUR signage was incredibly minimal resulting in lots of people trying to get through by going down the path in front of the 90 Stadium townhouses (and having to turn back). The number of cyclists that decided to bike down the sidewalk on Stadium Road rather than on the road was also very disappointing to see and not a safe choice for anybody.

At the Coronation Park entrance the construction gates had been left wide open at one point and witnessed a cyclist fly straight onto the gravel that was the trail. Zero visible signage or barrier in place.

On the plus side, looks like they made the path wider, especially the section between the Navy complex and Tip Top Tailors that should make it safer for all users.
