The section of the Martin Goodman Trail from the end of Queens Quay West to Coronation Park was opened again Friday afternoon. The lines still have to be painted on the trail so there could be some more disruption to access the trail.

We’re studying how much fine particulate pollution is present in Bathurst Quay and where levels change. Traffic and aircraft produce emissions nearby. By wearing a portable personal monitor that measures PM1.0 and PM2.5, you can help us create a community map of the air quality in your neighbourhood.

The Community Response handbook was designed for the Bathurst Quay neighbourhood to enable us to be better prepared for emergencies that could arise. It was created in response to the October 2022 bomb scare that resulted in an eight-hour evacuation of neighbourhood.

On July 24, 2026 the federal government officially rejected the jets proposal citing an overwhelming 87% public opposition from over 87,000 survey respondents. The campaign to stop jets was hard won.
