BQNA UPDATES

Our community is a unique mix of cooperatives, social housing and condos with wonderful local amenities. The history of how this all came about provides good lessons for the future of housing policy and community building.

The encampment underneath the grotto has been fully removed, and the grotto itself is now officially closed, thanks in large part to the steadfast stream of emails and phone calls from the community and the fast action by our Parks department.

The Toronto Island Plan includes recommendations to guide improvements over the next 25 years. These recommendations are organized under six goals that work together to address the complexity and opportunities for Toronto Island Park.

Thelma, Omari, and Naya recently lost their home in a fire and are now facing the tough task of starting over. Any donation you can make will really help them.
