BQNA’s 2026 AGM features an evidence based/knowledge sharing panel providing facts and answering questions about the impact of a jet airport on our air and water quality and the value of protecting our access to nature and parkland.

The Ontario government’s Bill 110 allows the Province to expropriate Little Norway Park and remove the city’s voice from major decisions affecting it. The Bill also removes the City of Toronto from the Tripartite Agreement that has shaped the relationship between the airport, the waterfront, the City of Toronto and surrounding communities for decades.

2025 year in review – the Bathurst Quay Neighbourhood. Issues such as encampment prevention, Air Quality, the fire at Windward Co-op, launching a National Petition to regulate ultrafine particles and Runway End Safety Areas at the Toronto Island Airport.

Our community is a unique mix of cooperatives, social housing and condos with wonderful local amenities. The history of how this all came about provides good lessons for the future of housing policy and community building.
